The course aims to familiarize students with basic translation theories and to develop their translation skills. In this semester, in-class exercises/discussions will focus on differences/similarities between English and Chinese as well as on various strategies that can be employed in English into Chinese translation. Students will also be required to evaluate their fellow classmates’ works and give oral presentations on specific topics.
